Based on the concept of the Crafting [OLD] system

The crafting system in Noclipped works similar to alchemy games by physically combining items together into various objects when applicable and getting various interactions out of these objects, from combining to refilling to chemistry and whatever

Crafting spaces

Crafting cannot be done in any place - there needs to be some area the player can work on. Before the player crafts a Portable workspace rag they must find a flat hard surface they can use to craft on. Any marked prop can be used, them being Tables, Crates, Pieces of plywood. Such spaces can be interacted with to open up a crafting menu.

The crafting process uses the Inventory system [IMPLEMENTED] As the player drags out their items from their backpack into the workspace and combines them physically. This creates an Interaction event which can have several outcomes:

When interacting with the crafting menu the player may also open their Backrooms Journal to view known to them recipes.

Crafting spaces have tiers to them. Any tier above tier 1 is only accessible by Fireflies, or players who have collected enough XP to be able to use Firefly skills Skill system

Different tier crafting spaces allow for more complex recipes that require different conditions, like heating up and cooling, forging by hitting with a hammer, using power tools and etc. Some of these crafting spaces require electricity or fuel

Recipe system

Items turn into other items until eventually they turn into the item you desire. Recipes are step-by-step tutorials on how to create such items from resources you have available on you

Crafting can result in not just other items, but Props (See Prop systems). These items cannot be picked up but dragged around. They however cannot be used as ingredients, only as final products

Example (Crafting of an Electric bat):

  1. Baseball bat + Nail = Unfinished nailed bat
  2. Unfinished nailed bat + Hammer = Nailed bat
  3. Nailed bat + metal rod = Unfinished reinforced nailed bat
