The player must improve over time to properly fit the difficulty slope. Farther away areas are more complex to navigate and survive in, and the player should naturally unlock more and more of the game, while knowing less in the beginning to not be overwhelmed. In Noclipped this is done via the Skill system.
The skill system is separated into multiple Skill Trees. Each skill tree has a value “XP”, and when it reaches a certain amount of points it resets and gives 1 Skill Point. The more skill points the player had unlocked the more XP they have to collect to get another one (grows linearly)
With Skill Points you unlock Skills along the skill tree. Every skill needs 1 skill point to be unlocked and you can only unlock skills adjacent to the already unlocked ones in the tree.
